Our creative editor Susan R. Opel is known for so very many things, and her relationship (or lack thereof) with stamping is one of them. She and I have a predictable dialogue whenever stamping comes up in conversation:
Me: WOW! Very cool stamping technique…I gotta try that one.
Susan: You’ll get messy.
Me: Yep! Nothing better than getting inky!
Susan: Have fun with that…
And although it’s “messy,” I think even Susan realizes how versatile stamping is. I wish I had more time to just sit with my stamps and ink to experiment with no holds barred, yet I never seem to find that opportunity.
Then I remind myself that I don’t really have to, because so many others are already leading the creative way in the world of stamping, so I grab my latest copy of Stamp It! Cards and get to work. The first place I turned in this particular volume was our Stamp It! 3 Ways section – the place where three designers use the same stamp set in three distinctly different ways.
Here are my two favorites:

Artistic Etchings by Stampin’ Up!
Look what Windy Robinson, Cristina Kowalczyk, and Betsy Veldman did with the Artistic Etchings set:

Amour by Windy Robinson, Formal Wedding Wishes by Cristina Kowalczyk, and Thank You Doilies by Betsy Veldman
Windy used the crown and key (did you SEE the key she stamped on the acrylic charm? WOW!), Cristina played on the elegance of the decorative spire, and Betsy made an amazing patterned background.
Three very different cards from the same stamp set!

Time Flies Set by Studio Calico
Here’s what Kim Kesti, Alicia Thelin, and Jessica Witty did with the Time Flies set:

Call Me by Kim Kesti, Phone Book Hi by Alicia Thelin, and Time Flies by Jessica Witty
Kim took an Andy Warhol approach (so fun!), Alicia repurposed old phone book pages (so clever!), and Jessica put wings on the clock because, well, time flies when you’re having fun (so punny!).
Yes, when it comes to versatility you just can’t beat stamping. And you can’t beat what I’ve got to give away, either! All six of the stamp sets we feature in Stamp It! 3-Ways (seen below), plus a copy of Stamp It! Cards can be yours – just leave me a comment by midnight (MDT) on Friday, July 1.

One lucky winner will take home all six stamps sets!
Get inky and just Stamp It!

P.S. Guess what? There’s more stamping inspiration over on Moxie Fab World! Plus, Go-to Gal Windy Robinson is stopping by for an afternoon chat!
P.P.S. It’s time to announce the winner of Cath’s Get Digi in Stamp It! Cards post!
